SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) -- A Marietta doctor has been arrested
and charged with battery after police say he punched a woman in the
face during a road rage incident.
Sandy Springs police arrested 58-year-old Daniel McBrayer after he turned himself in on Wednesday night.
The victim told police she and McBrayer were in a traffic altercation on Monday afternoon before he walked up to her car at an intersection and struck her in the face.
The woman, whose name has not been released, was treated at a local hospital.
McBrayer is an OBGYN who, according to the Composite State Board
of Medical Examiners, was disciplined in 2001 for performing second-trimester abortions in his Marietta office.
Sandy Springs police Lt. Steve Rose said McBrayer was booked on a simple battery charge and released after posting $1,5000 bond.
