SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. (AP) -- A Marietta doctor has been arrested
and charged with battery after police say he punched a woman in the
face during a road rage incident.

Sandy Springs police arrested 58-year-old Daniel McBrayer after he turned himself in on Wednesday night.

The victim told police she and McBrayer were in a traffic altercation on Monday afternoon before he walked up to her car at an intersection and struck her in the face.

The woman, whose name has not been released, was treated at a local hospital.

McBrayer is an OBGYN who, according to the Composite State Board
of Medical Examiners, was disciplined in 2001 for performing second-trimester abortions in his Marietta office.

Sandy Springs police Lt. Steve Rose said McBrayer was booked on a simple battery charge and released after posting $1,5000 bond.

We have a local wacko who will follow you or run you off the road, and the kicker is she has her business name on the side of her truck"Catherines cleaning" have spoke to several people who have had run ins with her. I know one day she will be in one of these stories, because she is a menace. Lets just hope she doesn't hurt some innocent person.

CHeryl, I'll do it! Thanks! Where you been girl? I'm leaving for the river house for the night, back in town tomorrow late, I'll give you a call next week! Yeah, this guy was definetly a mental case. I guarantee he will evetually kill someone. I mean really... what goes wrong in a persons head that they are SO angry at a stranger for a percieved minor infraction that they would risk killing themselves while trying to kill them? I really think this guy was trying to run me off the road at 70mph. I am so lucky I was ready for that and able to drive defensively. Like I said, lucky for both of us he didn't follow me, 1st I would have called 911, and I wouldn't have stopped, but I would have had my hand on the trigger until backup arrived. This is why innocent, law abiding citizens, should always have the right to bear arms. I'm not ready to be a sad statistic. Talk to 'ya soon! Looking forward to getting together! All of us!

so if she was protesting for pro life it is ok to hit her n the face. i am pro choice, but there is no excuse for hitting someone in the face except for self defense.

I understand Debby. Had something similar happen to me in front of the police station! My only question is were are the cops when crap like this happen! There should be a unmarked cars riding the streets of our city looking for incidents just like that. It's happening more and more everyday and I'm surprised that there hasn't been major accidents or complaints about how people are driving. From rolling through stop signs to cutting out nascar speeding through neighborhoods. Here's one that I'll never understand. If I'm driving down a road and someone pulls out in front of me at the last minute. Mind you that they've seen me a good mile down the road and I have no one behind me for another mile. TPD, you've got to do better.

I just had some psycho about kill me on I-10 this morning, seems passing him safely in the fast lane sent him over the top! Seriously, he was in the middle lane, I went over to the far left and went around him, didn't cut him off or anything, didn't give it a second thought, next thing I know he flies around me only inches from my vehicle and cuts in front of me with no more than a couple of feet to spare. I flashed my brights at him as to say "that's not cool", then got over in the far right lane to get away from him & he came over behind me and rode right on my bumper. I slowed down so he would go away and he came around me again and this time came over on me to where I had to slam on brakes and go over the white line to keep from hitting him! It's amazing the mental illness we have in this world, that you would risk killing yourself & someone else because they passed you or flashed their lights at you. Luckily (for both of us) he kept going when I exited the interstate.
