This man killed his wife and himself over $18,000 of child support arrearages! Like many fathers, I have been forced to be a "dead beat" by the State of Florida. 65% of my income is garnished for "support" payments. No one can live off 35% of their income! How can this be fair if a father has 50% the child 50% of the time and has 35% for the same expenses?? Not including her income.... Think about it. Current law incarcerates fathers for 6 months for the first offence - Jail time for not being able to afford basic living expenses! Now how is the child going to be supported??? Florida laws need to be changed. Attorneys need to be removed from the process of milking famiies for their savings, and the State needs to get out of the "prisons for profit" business. Florida gets $51,000 from the Fed for each person it incarcerates. 80% of Florida jails are privately owned - this means run for PROFIT! Before jumping to conclusions and believing the media... put yourself in a hopeless situation with no future and see if you might snap... Just saying... it's something to think about.
