Officials in North Carolina now say it was a fire at a nursing home in Mocksville this morning that killed at least one resident and left 19 injured.
The incident was originally reported as an explosion, but officials changed that description to a fire only.
Davie County assistant county manager Beth Dirks says four of the injured are in critical condition.
Two police officers were treated for smoke inhalation.
Authorities say they don't know what started the fire last night at Davie Place Residential Care in Mocksville, 25 miles southwest of Winston-Salem.
