Operation Jail and Bail is raising money for the American Cancer Society.

During the two day event, several key folks, like the Supervisor of Elections, Shirley Knight and EMS Director, Brian Beasley are all handcuffed and put in a cage... leaving family and friends to bail them out.

Organizers say this is just one way the county is helping raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Janice Tyus, Jail and Bail Coordinator says, "The Gadsden county sheriff's office has several employees who battled cancer and we work with them trying to do all we can to raise money to prevent cancer to help our fellow employees."

Last Year, organizers raised $20,000 through several events, including the Jail and Bail.
