A Taylor County woman is dead and her husband is in critical condition after crashing their vehicle.
Officers say alcohol is to blame and neither of them was wearing seat belts. It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday on U.S. 221 six miles north of Perry.
Forty-nine-year-old Mary Hill and 48-year-old Ashley Couey were riding in a Ford F-150 pickup truck.
Officers say the driver went off the road, over corrected and ended up crossing two lanes of traffic before overturning.
Both of them were ejected from the truck. Family members said that Sunday Couey was still listed in critical condition.
