Some local artists are showing off their musical skills thanks to the Tallahassee native and hip hop star T-Pain.

T-Pain and the Walker Ford Community Center host the Summer Jam Community Concert.

The "Tallahassee Hero" even made a special appearance giving the audience a sneak peak at what's in store for Sunday's concert.

Organizers say T-Pain wanted to show off all the local talent that Tallahassee has to offer.

"Words can't express how grateful I am, this is a great opportunity to network and just share all the great talent that's right here in Tallahassee because the world doesn't know", said Tao "The Empress", local artist.

More than forty local artists had the chance to take the mic at the concert.

Much of the proceeds from Sunday's Summer Jam Concert will be donated to the Walker Ford Community Center.

I think TPain is Awesome! He does not forget where he is from and he is all about his fans! He knows without them he would not be where he is. I have the utmost respect for him.

I think that is a wonderful idea of our native T-Pain making it big in the industry and yet not forgetting where he got there start from.I also think that it is a blessing that he is able to give back to the community.
