Bradshaw Guilty in Hoffman Murder

The verdict came on what would have been Rachel Hoffman’s 25 birthday.

“The jury finds the defendant, Deneilo Bradshaw, guilty as charged.”

Family friends say Rachel’s mother, Margie Weiss’s first thought was for the family of Deneilo Bradshaw, reportedly saying “I know what it is like to lose a child.” Afterwards, she still appeared stunned.

Reporter: How would this day have been different?

“I would have been releasing 25 butterflies to celebrate her birthday,” Weiss said.

Prosecutors declined comment, for now.

Deneilo’s step father prayed, while his mother said he got a fair trial. But his step father isn’t so sure.

“This boy didn’t do what they said he did,” stepfather Karey Freeman said. “He might have been guilty of something, but he wasn’t guilty of that. He wasn’t guilty of what he was charged with.”

“I’ll stand here before you as a mother to tell any mother, that you trust God for your children,” Bradshaw’s mother Judiana Freeman said. “Because today is a day where I can stand and say, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God is still God and I love my son.”

After deliberating for 22 hours over three days, the jury will be back friday, to recommend life or death.

A second defendant won’t go on trial until October.

I have nothing against informants, but why is they trying to take a mans life when they should be trying to get the people(s)that put her up to it.Don't let a young man loose his life because the police failed to do their job. There should be a law against informants doing that.that's trying to buy your way out trouble that they get into.

If Rachel had been raised with better morals maybe her parents would have been in tune to her problems and she could have gotten the right kind of help.

Good Bye Rachel, don't want to hear anymore about this drug dealing peon who did wrong and got her punishment for being stupid. She won't be going around bragging which was what she was out to do with what she thought was going to give her fame. Oh and lets not forget her parents who are out trying to get MONEY for their daughter's death----really! Bet they are wishing the other guy would be hurried up for his case so they can see if that will the time for them to get money from this. All of the Hoffmans running around like ambulance chasers, ooooooh, how much can we get for this? HA!

Lets realize and face reality she was not innocent herself lets not forget while she was an informant. She was a drug abuser and seller so they both got what they deserve she was no angel and lets not forget that. While we are trying to make her a hero

I have met the stepfather of Bradshaw and spoke with him at a school event and then in the community. He is a God fearing person and a good person. I know this is hurting them tremendously. Rachael was irresponsible and foolish and thought she was "cool" when she thought she could use this incident to get her out of her troubles using drugs. I am sorry for her death but she should have lived a better life. There are many victims in this case who have suffered, they live on.
