An investigation into alleged misconduct by a Florida Department of Transportation employee raises new questions about ticket fixing at the Tallahassee Police Department.
The probe focuses on Cheryl Lisa Finch, who oversees several TPD grants.
Among the allegations: she used her position to get a traffic citation dismissed. The inspector general's report says TPD Captain David Folsom voided an at fault accident citation because Finch was dating a TPD officer at the time and because Finch was the person responsible for several TPD grants.
The DOT report shows Finch was not found to have misused her position to get that ticket voided.
Captain Folsom denies ever saying that and claims he has the paperwork to prove it.
