Bernake Meets with Soldiers in Texas

El Paso, TX---

Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke hosted a town hall meeting at Fort Bliss in El Paso, Texas with soldiers and their families after greeting military personnel that were returning from combat.

Bernanke greeted the returning soldiers right off the plane, shaking their hands in the early morning Bernanke's trip to Fort Bliss is his first visit to an Army installation and also the first time he's greeted soldiers returning from combat.

It was also his first visit to the state after GOP presidential candidate and Texas Gov. Rick Perry said earlier this year Texans would treat him "ugly" if he continued lowering interest rates. Perry and other critics say that policy is akin to recklessly printing money. Another Texan seeking the presidency, U.S. Representative Ron Paul, favors abolishing the Federal Reserve.

Federal officials said the visit is part of outreach efforts by Bernanke but wouldn't say if it was planned before Perry's comments.

Somebody please tell the old goat that the Mexican-american war has been over for about 160 years. If he wants to make headlines, tell him to park his pinstripped trousers in Bagdhad.

Well ..Oracle , when you sign that itty bitty piece of Paper .. you dont get the luxury of asking questions and getting to fuss about it. Sure it makes you sick what a mess these so called "Brainiacs" in D.C. have done to this Country , sure it sucks coming home and being passed over for even the most menial jobs , in favor of some fresh faced kid , or being told the Drug Dealer up the block has more rights to assistance than you do. Or that you need to accept forclosure , because the Executive needs yet another Rolls Royce. But you dont do it because you love the Politicians. You do it because you still believe this Country is still worth something. Something that many paid dearly for. Personally , I think the guy should have just shook their hands ( not even looking them in the eye ) and apologized for the mess D.C. has made , but it aint gonna happen. Until of luck Fellas. Welcome home. Semper Fi. Happy Vets Day.

Nothing like a visit from a left-wing America hater to raise the old morale. I do hope Barry sent along his good wishes.
