Former Massachusetts Speaker of House Sentenced to Prison

The former Speaker of the House in Massachusetts has been sentenced to eight years in prison for corruption and bribery.
A federal judge says Salvatore DiMasi sold his seat by steering state contracts worth more than 17 million dollars to a software firm in exchange for kickbacks.
Prosecutors say he got about 65-thousand dollars in the scheme.
