FAYETTEVILLE, Ga. (AP) --
Three Georgia firefighters are recovering from injuries they suffered while fighting a blaze that burned a home in metro Atlanta.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports (http://bit.ly/s1iNBw )
the Fayette County firefighters were injured Saturday but managed
to get themselves out of the burning house near Peachtree City, which was considered a total loss.
Fayette County fire Lt. Donnie Davis says two of the firefighters were flown to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta with minor burns and injuries from smoke inhalation. The third firefighter had hurt his ankle.
Davis says windy conditions helped fan the fire, causing it to spread throughout the house.
