Lawmakers Sue Obama over Libya Strikes

A bipartisan group of lawmakers has filed suit, challenging the U-S participation in the nearly three-month-old mission in Libya.

They contend the Obama administration is violating the War Powers Resolution, which sets a deadline for the president to get the authorization of congress when involving U-S troops abroad.

House Speaker John Boehner says the 90-day deadline expires Sunday.
Republican Congressman Walter Jones is also part of the bipartisan group.

Here's what he had to say:

"Why and how are we going into Libya? Yes, is Gadhafi and evil man, certainly, but where are you Congress? Why didn't the President come to the Congress...?"

The White House says President Obama acted within his authority as chief executive and noted the president had limited the U-S role in the mission from the start.

@Blown Away-Wars Power Act of 1973 does not allow the President to engage in war without the consent of the Congress. As to the birth issue-My sibling has a real birth certificate from Hawaii about the same time and place as the current Bozo the clown. That certificate is the original on white stock with a raised seal which is nothing like the contemporary green check paper looking facsimile that you intellectually challenged people believe is legitimate. Many people feel that forcing people to purchase health insurance is a violation of rights. Why should we be told what to buy and from whom? Why should we be told what we can and cannot have in terms of health care and yes it will be rationed care along with advocating things like end of life counseling. There is a socialist mindset in the current oval office that was never intended to be there by the founding fathers. Drink your kool aid Blown away-cherry is the flavor most liked by children.

Not even legal citizen, please put down the koolaid. Rep. Weiner is about to lose his elected position because of sex tweets, don't you think if the birth issue had any facts that could be used that Obama would already be gone. And Tired American, please explain what Cont. Rights you have lost, I'd like to know and if you have, just remember, it's the repubs and tea party people in the majority now that control things. And another thing, if you're against the war in Libya, then that must mean you're for Gadaffi.

If you voted for Obama to prove you weren’t a racist in 2008, you better vote against him in 2012 to prove you are not an idiot.

FBI OBAMAS BIRTH CERTIFICATE shows a 22 page fraud report by US lawyers showing his long term form is fraud all the way. They state the FBI cant impeach him and only congress can, but can arrest him.As we noticed, he took many trips to all arab countrys as he spent 550 million in only 10 days with first attack. It was pointed out then he had to declare war upon such military actions and as he ignorned that as hes not even a legal citizen as were back in court as the FBI filed criminal charges may 31 as it being fraud on a 22 page report by us attorneys and demanding his arrest for fraud. That is all on that FBI report and now will cost more than another 2.5 million to keep covering it up.Arrest him and send him back to africa , his home land.A fla citizen made the true statment that he couldnt even get a fla drivers liscence with that illegal form he manufatured and its all the proof on the charges.Arrest him for inpersonating a US president as that charge would hold up in court.Arizona already took him from ther 2012 pres. ballot so should fla ga and alabama that has immigration laws .

Bush takes us to war twice, spends the country into a financial grave, and NOW the republicans have found their spines? What a joke.

@Tom Obama has learned what Bush knew; there are limits to diplomacy, and at some point force may be required. People like Gadhafi absolutely can't be reasoned with.
