[UPDATE] Missing and Endangered Child Found

A missing child out of Gadsden County has been located.

Authorities say around 11am on June 26, 1-year-old A'zaun Baker was taken from his grandmother.

They say his mother, 18-year-old Altra'naye Baker took the boy.

The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office says that the Tallahassee Police Department found the child last night and returned him to his grandmother at 1am this morning.

No charges have been filed against the mother at this time.


The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office says A'Zahn Baker has been located. GCSO had no other information.

The Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in locating an abducted and endangered child. At 11:06 am this morning, 1 year old A’Zahn Baker was abducted from his maternal grandmother, who is his legal guardian; by his biological mother 18 year old Altra’Naye Lamiya Baker. Altra’Naye Baker arrived at her mother’s home in Quincy, Florida on today taking A’Zahn Baker and fleeing in a 2000 year, unknown
make and model, white sedan with tinted windows. The vehicle was last seen headed towards the Quincy area at a high rate of speed.

Altra’Naye Baker failed to show for work this morning. She has relatives in the Tallahassee area in Meadows Apartments. Gadsden County law enforcement has issued a BOLO for the vehicle and is currently seeking the whereabouts of this child. The child is believed to be endangered and anyone with any information as to the whereabouts of 1 year old A’Zhan Baker are asked to contact their local law enforcement or the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office at 850-627-9233 immediately.
