Obama Heads West

President Barack Obama is heading to the West Coast to raise money from liberal donors and try to sell his new jobs plan.

Obama has fundraisers events Sunday in two reliably Democratic
states, Washington and California. He's expected to keep up his
newly aggressive tone of taking Republicans head on.

That may be welcome news for party activists who've been
discouraged by some of the president's compromises with the GOP.

Obama has a town hall-style event hosted by social networking
site LinkedIn in California on Monday and ends the trip with a jobs
speech in Denver.

Polling shows that Obama's approval ratings are sagging, but he
probably doesn't risk losing Washington or California in 2012.

Still, supporters aren't as enthusiastic as they once were, something Obama will try to change.

Let's look at a few examples of these fundraising dinners: 6/23 Manhattan Goldman Sachs ex Ceo hosts-$35,000 a plate, 9/26 Silicon Valley $35,800 per couple, and 9/27 Hollywood $35,000 per two people. Does this really sound like a fundraiser type event at this price range that represents the people in this country? No. If BHO keeps heading "West" he'll eventually end up back in Indonesia. Good times...

I'd guess Obama is trying to raise money from Democratic donors, rather than liberal donors. Obama runs as a Democrat. Is Joe Lieberman a liberal? No. Joe Lieberman is a scab. Joe Lieberman endorsed McCain for Prez. Is Ben Nelson a liberal? Or Mary Landrieu? Or Blanche Lincoln who worked so hard to tailor the estate tax to the liking of the Walton (Wal-mart) family? If all Dems are liberals why is there no public option in Obamacare? If all Dems are liberal why did Allen Boyd (who lost to Steve Southerland, mortician from Cabbageville)) and Ron Klein (who lost to Allen West) propose extending the Bush tax cuts?
