Authorities have arrested a man in connection with the killing for two people at a Memphis hotel.
22-year-old Alexander Haydel was arrested Monday and is on a 48-hour investigative hold for 1st degree murder.
Haydel, of Cleveland, Mississippi, was staying at the Doubletree for the holiday weekend when he got into an argument with his wife and fight with his wife's ex-husband.
Authorities say Haydel shot his wife's ex-husband in a hallway, then went on to shoot a responding police officer in a stairwell as he fled the hotel.
Charges are expected to be filed this morning (7-5)

Authorities in Memphis are investigating after a police officer and another person were shot to death at a hotel in the middle of the city's entertainment district.
Police say a suspect is in custody and was hospitalized due to injuries sustained during his arrest.
Police Director Toney Armstrong says Officer Timothy Warren, a patrol officer, died at Regional Medical Center after the shooting.
Warren was among several officers responding to a call at the Doubletree Hotel around 7 p.m. Sunday. A civilian victim, who hasn't been positively identified, was also shot and pronounced dead at the scene in what officials say started as a domestic dispute.
WMC-TV reported that police had responded earlier in the night to a disturbance call involving the same suspect, but let him go.
