More than 100 student-athletes at Valdosta State University are helping to build a home for a family in need.
It's the eighth annual Blazer Build.
The Cross-Country team worked on the Troup Street house Saturday near North Ashley Street.
The Valdosta-Lowndes Habitat for Humanity is working with several VSU athletic teams including the football, soccer and volleyball teams.

Parker Childree is one of the cross-country runners working on the house.
He tells Eyewitness News reporter Greg Gullberg how much it's a wonderful bonding experience.

"We've all been having great team bonding experiences out here. Meeting the new workers and all that. They're just a great crew to work with. Altogether just an awesome time," says Childree.

"They already come in with that team aspect and that mentality. So getting them to work is easy. You get a few of them, tell them what to do and they get the whole group going," Coordinator and women's soccer coach Erin Foot tells Gullberg.
