The biggest movie theater screen in Tallahassee is getting a new and improved makeover that's sure to make movie-goers go ga-ga.
The Challenger Learning Center's IMAX Theater is transitioning to a digital 3-D screen, complete with a brand new 18 thousand watt digital surround sound system.
The new silver, 5-story-tall, 72-foot-wide screen was installed Tuesday morning.
Officials with the center are working hard to provide Tallahassee residents with the highest quality movie going experience.
"The consumers really want 3-D movies now and so we're really happy to meet the demand of 3-D. Also we'll be able to show more presentations now because there are certain IMAX presentations that are only released in 3-D. So, we are happy to be up with the latest technology and be able to give the Tallahassee area the movies they want to see," said Jessie Riley.
The biggest screen in town will officially be 3- D on October 1st.
