The search has ended for a Thomas County escaped inmate.
Georgia investigators say 31-year-old Jonathan Wooten jimmied his cell lock Thursday night and walked right out of the Thomas County Jail.
Sunday morning, Wooten was spotted on the south side of Tallahassee near Holton and Osceola Streets. A concerned citizen alerted authorities.
“He denied who he was at first,” said SGT Judy Suchocki. “He gave us a false name, but we used information from Georgia Bureau of Investigations and Thomasville authorities and arrested him."
Wooten was serving time for armed robbery and was awaiting trail for rape and kidnapping at the time of his escape.
