It was a picture perfect opportunity as Tallahassee postal service employees held a ribbon cutting ceremony to showcase their new automated postal center. Officials say this fast, easy machine will make it easier for customers to mail packages and letters.

Marlena Hopkins, Customer Relations Coordinator, says, "Our automated service center is provided to the customer for user friendly purposes of getting their packages mailed. You can step up to the automated center and use your credit card; it will do all the services.”

The automated machine provides customers with a long list of services ranging from express and priority mails. The good thing about this machine is it’s available 24 hours a day. You can mail letters, buy stamps, everything is right at your fingertips.

Thursday, customers at the Centerville location got an opportunity to get acquainted with the machines. So far it's receiving high marks.

Jeff Hazen says, "It makes mailing various things you need in the mail a lot easier. It puts off wait in long lines, which is a lot of times at this post office just the time factor is what's nice about it."

Peter Panjwani adds, "It actually walks you straight through on how you can pass a package. It's a simple machine and you don't have to wait for half an hour."

There are only two machines in Tallahassee and you can find them at the Centerville and Adams Street post offices.
