Holiday Village at Market Square

Thanksgiving is right around the corner and anxious revelers are already breaking out their holiday spirit, not just for turkey day, but for Christmas too.

At Market Square in Tallahassee there's a variety of people.

“We see all kinds of babies, parents, grandparents; it's a real family get together,” said Melinda Piller, the event organizer.

Getting together with the family is the goal for this year's Holiday Village at Market Square, but when you speak to the little ones it's not as important as this guy. That's right, it's Mr. Kris Kringle himself that's awing this crowd, and even though he's a bit early, he's making his list and checking it twice.

Meanwhile, Santa's elves are dancing away, entertaining the crowds and spreading holiday cheer.

“I like the holidays because of presents. I like dancing because it's fun,” said Amia Smith, a Killearn teen dancer.

And having fun is what this festival is all about, a free holiday greeting from Market Square to you!

The Holiday Village is open to the public every year. Organizers say it's another way to draw attention to Market Square and all it has to offer.
