Almost three hours later, Hazel Rudd says she's still shaking.
Hazel says, "Oh, it was real loud, hit me something like a bomb, just hard."
Around 1:30 Friday afternoon there was a head-on collision right in front of Rudd's home in Gadsden County. A red Subaru was traveling westbound on Highway 12 when the driver of a Chevy Tahoe traveling eastbound tried to turn left onto Post Plant Road.
The Florida Highway Patrol says there were two people in each car.
Trooper Trerrance Chukes with FHP says, "Everybody was transported to TMH, three of them by LifeFlight, one was transported by ambulance."
Rudd says she was inside her home when the loud crash woke her up. She immediately called 9-1-1.
Hazel says, "I was so nervous because I saw that little red car and I thought it was my son's. It just shook me. I couldn't tell the lady at 9-1-1 my phone number, I was so upset."
Trooper Chukes says he has worked several accidents at this same intersection, but none like this one. According to FHP, the other victims are in serious condition at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
