The opening of a local store is not only bringing a community closer together, it's also making history.
Wakulla Station Pharmacy celebrated its grand opening Saturday. The pharmacy owners say it's the second African-American owned and operated pharmacy in north Florida. The owners of the pharmacy are proud to bring this type of health care to the area.
Co-owner Rita Abarbanel, a registered pharmacist, added, "This location is lacking health care in general. We've been very well received by everybody on this end."
Wakulla Station is the Abarbanel's first pharmacy. Owners say knowing the people and being part of the community is very important.
