An unborn child is dead and two others injured after an early morning home invasion. Now, Thomasville police are interviewing anyone who may have information.
Police say it all happened around 5 a.m. when multiple suspects entered a home on 104 Isabel Street, demanding cash.
Once inside, officers say the suspects beat a 25-year-old male occupant and shot an 18-year-old pregnant female. Officers say the female was in her second trimester and the baby did not survive.
SGT Rachelle Denmark, spokeswoman for Thomasville police, said, "It's a tragedy when something like this happens, and people enter a residence without permission and commit a heinous crime, like shooting and robbery and taking someone's life."
Denmark says both victims were taken to Archbold Hospital and are expected to recover. Thomasville police are asking anyone with information on this case to contact their Criminal Investigation Division at 229-227-3302.
