Taylor County - September 1, 2012

A woman is in serious condition following a rear end crash Saturday in Taylor County.

Debrah Cantrell, 51, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 221 (State Road 55).

Earl Crocket, 65, who was driving a pick-up truck towing a boat, was traveling south on U.S. Highway 221 (State Road 55).

Cantrell for unknown reasons, failed to see Crocket's Chevy Silverado in front of his PT Cruiser, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

The front of Cantrell's car collided the rear of Crocket's boat and trailer.

Both Cantrell and Crocket came to final rest facing south on the west shoulder of U.S. Highway 221, according to FHP.

Cantrell was taken to Doctor's Memorial Hospital in serious condition.

The crash report shows alcohol was not a factor.

According to FHP, Crocket had no injuries. There was $500.00 dollars damage to Crocket's boat and trailer.

The Taylor County Sheriff's Department, Taylor County Fire and Taylor County EMS assisted on the scene.
