For the past four months local businesses and construction sites have been burglarized.
A tip to drug agents led to a residence on Country Meadows Lane in Thomas County and the arrests of Joseph McDonald and James Poeske.
"We made contact with someone at the house and noticed that there were some four-wheelers parked out back. We contacted the Criminal Investigations Division,” says Kevin Lee of Thomas County Narcotics/Vice Division.
Police say the stolen property ranges from household items to high-end four-wheelers.
"A lot of the items that we knew off hand were missing from our area. We were able to match up the numbers real quick,” shares INV Pascal Autrey of Criminal Investigations.
Investigators say the four-wheelers, power tools, trailers, and household items are estimated to be worth $40,000.
They add some of the items have already been tracked to Grady, Mitchell, and Colquitt counties.
The investigation is ongoing and investigators say they hope to make more arrests.
Investigators say Joseph McDonald and James Poeske face a number of charges including felony theft by taking.
