Forty-two-year-old Todd Schultheis has been convicted on charges of battery and molestation involving a 12-year-old girl.
Attorneys say it took a Wakulla County jury 15 minutes to reach a guilty verdict.
Detectives were able to record a phone conversation where Schultheis made the victim promise not to tell authorities.
CAPT Jim Griner of the Wakulla County Sheriff's Office says, “Mr. Schultheis was found guilty. He will be housed here at Wakulla County Jail until November 17th; at that time he will be housed at Leon County Jail where they have a hold on him.”
Records show Schultheis has an outstanding warrant in Leon County for sexual battery that occurred back in 2002.
