Twenty to 25 percent of women are attacked in the U.S. each year. Are you prepared to defend off your attacker?
The thought of being attacked goes through the minds of women of all ages and size. The Florida State University Police Department uses the program RAD to make sure women are armed with the defense skills to protect themselves from danger.
RAD offers tools to use in a situation. The RAD program, which is short for Rape, Aggression, Defense, is open to women only and teaches self defense, which is said to be very easy to learn and use.
While it is offered on the campus of FSU for college credit, if you have six or more women who are interested in learning the techniques, they will bring the program to your front door.
