Preparations are in full swing for the 38th Annual Thomasville Fly-In this weekend. Organizers say this event attracts anywhere from 300 to 500 visiting aircraft for the weekend.
The fly-in is free and will showcase antique, home-built, and even military aircrafts. Organizers say there's also a museum of engines and memorabilia open to the public.
Ronnie Bozeman, event coordinator, says, "You can come onto the ramp and the parking area of the airport and see aircrafts. You can't do this very often in today's secure society as it is now. It's something that's sort of special and unique to Thomasville, so we enjoy doing it."
The fly-in is scheduled through the weekend and the Rose City Soaring Association will also have gliders on site to take folks on a personal flying experience.
