A serial bank robber known for his assortment of hats and clockwork holdups is now headed to prison.
Harold Smith has just plead no contest to six bank robberies. Smith was accused of robbing the banks over the course of a year before he was caught in March.
Tallahassee police investigators say he would strike every six weeks or so, choosing banks on the northeast side of town. A foray to a westside bank proved to be his undoing.
Smith was sentenced to 10 years in prison for the spree.
