The Professional Firefighters Union of Tallahassee says it has come to a tentative agreement with the city.
Union President Travis Oaks says this has been a long process that started back in January. He couldn't release any details of the proposed contract, but says he is pleased.
Although there is a tentative agreement on the table, it must still be ratified both by union members and city commissioners.
Travis Oaks says, "We're excited about having a tentative agreement. This is something we've looked forward to for a long time, so we're excited about that."
Oaks had no estimate of when that contract would be put up for a vote, only that it should be in the very near future.
