Lodging, food, gift certificates, it all costs money and local organizations are raising funds to help hurricane evacuees.
The Salvation Army is collecting money and will donate all proceeds from its "You're in the Army" benefit to the hurricane relief fund.
McIntyre Park Middle School is sponsoring "Make Change for the Gulf Coast." Students have been challenged to collect spare change and teachers will match the donations. Part of the money will help local evacuees and the rest will go to the Red Cross.
Monetary donations aren't the only way Rose City residents are helping Hurricane Victims. At the Boys and Girls Club, they are offering free membership, homework help, and free meals for children affected by the Hurricane.
