The manager of Jimmy John's in Tallahassee is relieved. One of his drivers, robbed Sunday night, wasn't hurt.
Sandberg says in his five years as owner, this has only happened twice. He says the company has policies in place to keep its drivers less vulnerable.
Monday, Tallahassee Police with the help of an anonymous caller, arrested 39-year-old Demetrice Waller and 43-year-old Anthony John. The two are suspected in a string of armed robberies since September 1.
Drivers with Jimmy John’s, Hungry Howie’s, and Papa John’s were robbed, not with guns, but with box cutters.
While John has been charged with two counts of armed robbery, Waller has been charged with four counts. Each count carries with it a sentence of up to life behind bars.
Both men are currently being held at the Leon County Jail.
