Dozens of animals left stranded in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina find safe temporary homes.

Leon County’s Humane Society rescued about twenty cute kittens from a make shift shelter in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and brought them to Tallahassee.

Jonathan Grabb is one of about 20 foster pet parents to pick up a cat and take care of it until the owner makes contact.

"The cat actually, right now, doesn't have a name. It's currently just called number 15, so we are going to have to give it a name in the meantime.”

Anyone interested in becoming a pet foster parent can call The Leon County Humane Society at (850) 224-9193.
