October kicks off Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And to get things started with a bang, The Chrome Divas held a poker run.
Sunday's event was a huge success for everyone; proceeds will help support breast cancer survivors in the Capital City.
The chairperson for the event says there were 300 participants, all coming out to help with a good cause.
Charlotte Kinkella participated in the event and had this to say, "Several girlfriends getting together riding it makes bad days very good. Everywhere you go you never meet a stranger when our on the bike, everybody is one big happy family.”
Kevin Wattenbarger also participated and adds, "[I] asked a friend if she wanted to do it thought it would be a good idea to spend a Sunday morning."
Participants were given lunch at the last stop and some entered a contest with hopes of winning door prizes donated from within the community.
