CANTONMENT, Fla. -- July 1, 2012
A teenager has drowned while swimming in a river with his family near Pensacola.
Escambia County Sheriff's deputies said 19-year-old John Grace was walking with his family in the Perdido River on Friday when he fell into a deep spot. His family never saw him again.
Divers found his body more than three hours later. The Pensacola News Journal reports Grace was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the current was strong Friday.
