How would you like to receive both a bachelor’s and medical degree in half the time?
Starting next fall, Florida State University College of Medicine will establish a B.S. - M.D. program which will allow it for students who qualify.
The program, created for FSU honors students, will allow early admission into the college upon meeting certain requirements.
"Our College of Medicine and our honors program have gotten together to create this, and by taking a certain sequence of courses, some special students can get on the fast track to a medical degree within seven years possibly," says FSU spokesperson Frank Murphy.
University officials hope this opportunity will encourage current undergraduate students to stay put for their medical education.
