Get ready to grab your partner and do-see-do on down to the North Florida Fair Thursday, but before the fun begins there is some serious work to do.
All day, inspectors with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services hit the Fairgrounds, triple checking rides.
Inspections Specialist Roland Guay says he makes sure everything is permitted in the state of Florida, and then inspects the attractions for safety hazards.
Guay says many accidents can be avoided by the patrons themselves: reading signs, following rules and not getting aggressive.
The North Florida Fair kicks off Thursday and runs through November 13.
