The event is sponsored by the Calvary, Georgia Lion's Club.
Vendors and event-goers spent much of Friday getting ready for the weekend of fun that organizers say includes a parade, mule show and loads of arts and crafts, a little something for everyone.
Mule Day enthusiast Jennifer Dixon said, "I love the parade and the atmosphere. Everyone around here is so nice and southern, and obviously I love that."
All proceeds from Mule Day benefit a Calvary Lion's Club charity. Organizers say they expect between 75,000 to 100,000 people to converge on Calvary this weekend for Mule Day.
