The New Plays Festival

Tony Award winner and Academy Award nominee Nark Medoff is ready to show Tallahassee what some FSU theatre students can do.

For almost two years, this visiting professor has been working with five student playwrights. The school is now presenting The New Play Festival through November 13.

Medoff says he works passionately to help these students get their plays from the page to the stage.

Medoff says, "It's fabulous. I think it's more nerve-wracking to watch their plays than it is for me to be involved in one of my own, because they're like my kids."

In 1980, Medoff received a Tony for "Children of a Lesser God." For more information about The New Play Festival call the FSU Fine Arts Box Office at 644-6500. Admission is free.
