A group of protestors assembled along the parade route as well to denounce the war in Iraq.
The Vietnam Veterans for Peace stood at the corner of Call and Duval waving signs saying “love the warrior, hate the war.”
They flashed peace signs as veterans, bands and ROTC units walked past and spoke out loudly against the war in Iraq.
Tom Baxter with Vietnam Veterans for Peace says, "We want to show people that not everybody supports the war. We want to show people that we support the veterans and we're standing right beside the disabled American veterans calling for better aid to the VA."
The protestors then joined the parade as the final entry.
