On Monday, investigators of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office received information regarding two male subjects from Georgia that were camping along the river near Oak Hill Road in Madison County and possibly were “cooking meth” at the campsite.
Investigators responded to the area and were able to locate the suspected campsite along with two male subjects. The male subjects were identified as Jarvis Stallings, 25, and Joshua Barton, 32, both of Lake Park, Georgia.
After questioning the two men, investigators determined that both Stallings and Barton were involved in manufacturing Methamphetamine.
During a search of the campsite, investigators located numerous items commonly used to manufacture Methamphetamine concealed inside the tents along with a small amount of liquid Methamphetamine.
Both men were arrested and taken into custody without further incident. Stallings and Barton are both charged with one count of Possession of Methamphetamine and one count of Manufacturing Methamphetamine.
