Residents, business owners and environmentalists are making their voices heard. They're protesting on North Monroe in Tallahassee just east of I-10 to show they oppose the opening of a Wal-Mart store.
The site used to be a Sam's Club and residents say turning it into another big store would hurt local businesses as well as the environment.
"The traffic, the noise, there's the turtles, they're trying to save on 27 North, the ravine is back here that empties right into Lake Jackson," says Glendale resident and business owner, Patsy Harrell.
The rally is the culmination of a week-long effort by these residents to let the community know they're against the building of more Wal-Mart stores in Leon County.
