Billboards Can Stay in Wakulla County

They're large and in charge and still welcome in one rural community.

New billboards didn't get the ax at Wakulla County's board meeting. A moratorium on new billboards was shot down, the majority of commissioners saying the language was too harsh.

The board says it’s satisfied with a newly revised sign ordinance that was approved two weeks ago.

That ordinance decreases the size of billboards to 240 square feet, and increases the distance between billboards to 2,500 feet.
