Tallahassee Drive-by Shooting

There are still no arrests in a drive-by shooting that sent a 17-year-old boy to the hospital.

Police say the gunman shot into a group of people standing at the corner of Webster and Kendall just after 1 a.m. Sunday morning.

The 17-year-old was struck in the groin. Witnesses describe the suspect's car as a box-style burgundy Chevy Caprice.

OFC John Newland, Tallahassee Police Department's Public Information Officer, said, "It's going to take some time before he gets back on his feet, but there are no life threatening injuries to him, so it will be assigned in a timely fashion and they are developing leads as we are talking now."

Investigators are busy following leads, but are asking that anyone with information on the shooting to call them at 891-4200.
