Gertrude Avirom is one of 54 million Americans who cares for a loved one. Eighteen years ago her husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. TMH's adult day services provides some relief and some alone time.
Gertrude says, "When I go home, I will sometimes just watch television or sleep, and then other times I clean, cook, go grocery shopping."
