Thomasville police spent Friday staging seat belt check points throughout the Rose City.
Thomasville police spokesperson, SGT Rachelle Denmark, said, "There's a lot more traffic on the road for the holiday season, people out shopping and they forget to put their seat belt on, and a crash can happen in a split second and a seat belt's gonna reduce your chances of injury and save your life."
Thomasville police say the amount a person is ticketed varies by jurisdiction. In Thomasville, not buckling up will cost you $65.
