Seniors and Teens Share Holiday Spirit

The holidays can bring out the giving spirit in people, as well as bring people together to share in the spirit of the season. That's what happened Sunday afternoon at the Woodmont Assisted Living community in Tallahassee.

Girls who live at the Lighthouse Children's Home performed Christmas carols for area senior citizens, and the seniors presented gifts for all the teenage girls who live at the Lighthouse Children's Home.

"I think that the senior from the Senior Center as well as Woodmont want to do something to give back to the community, and being able to help make these girls have a better Christmas really makes our residents and the seniors feel good," said Woodmont Public Relations Representative Gail Alexander.

The Lighthouse Children's Home is a living facility and home school for troubled teens. It's operated entirely by private contributions.
