It's a double blow for Florida's recreational fishermen; first the feds, now the state.
The number of red grouper that recreational fishermen will be able to keep from state waters has been reduced.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission has adopted a rule reducing the bag limit from two fish a day to one. This matches a bag limit in federal waters, which begins nine nautical miles offshore.
Regulators say grouper are being over fished far beyond the quota for recreational fishermen.
