Children who are spending the holidays cooped up in a hospital room got a surprise visit from a bunch of elves in green.
These elves happen to be Leon County Sheriff's deputies, continuing their annual tradition of making rounds at TMH.
Little ones got their pick of cuddly bears to help make this tough time a little more "bear"-able. It was a big surprise for five-year-old Averie McDaniel.
"It was a big surprise and a very nice surprise because it was nice to see friendly faces bringing in the animals for her. It was a very nice pleasant surprise this morning."
Victim advocates collect the bears all year long to give to children in crisis and to hand out during the holidays. There's a lot of cuddling on the second floor at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
