A Tallahassee store owner got quite a shock when he arrived to open for business this morning.
Police say sometime overnight, burglars tried to cut a hole in the roof of the K&S Food Mart on Springhill Road before opting to throw a cinder block through the window instead.
The burglars took off with cash, phone cards, and cigars. But investigators say the real loss may be all the damage done to the electrical and phone wiring.
Police suspect the burglars tried to shut down the alarm system first.
